The CWRC provides services of support and advocacy, programming geared toward
awareness of gender and society, and academic and career-based information to students.
Workforce Diversity, Equity, and Life Quality (WDELQ)
The Office of Workforce Diversity, Equity and Life Quality was established in January
2000 to provide leadership to the Cornell community in the areas of equal opportunity,
affirmative action, diversity, and the "balance" between work and personal life. The
office serves as a liaison to local community organizations that address the employment
interests of individuals from traditionally underrepresented groups.

Provides crisis intervention and support for battered women and their children including
shelter, advocacy, support groups and referrals; also intervention, support and advocacy for
children who have been sexually abused.

Ithaca Breast Cancer Alliance
The Ithaca Breast Cancer Alliance (IBCA) provides support, information, and advocacy for
all people who live in Tompkins County and the surrounding communities who are diagnosed with
breast cancer or going through a breast cancer scare. It is our fundamental belief that each
person must decide individually which treatment is best. We do not advocate one form of treatment
over another. IBCA also provides assistance to the friends and family members of persons with
breast cancer and to all persons interested in breast health.

Planned Parenthood of the Southern Finger Lakes
PPSFL was created in 2004 by the merger of Planned Parenthood of the Southern Tier and
Planned ParenthoodofTompkins County, both founded in 1968. They are committed to providing quality
reproductive health care and sexuality education for all people in the community regardless of
race, color, gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, or ability to pay. Since 1996 they
have been the designated provider of sexual violence response and education services in Chemung,
Steuben and Schuyler counties.

Women's Community Building
The City Federation of Women's Organizations is committed to serving the needs of women and
girls and administers the Women's Community Building in ways consistent with this goal. We provide
meeting space for large and small groups, affordable office space for non-profit human service
agencies and arts groups, and affordable commercial kitchen facilities to fledgling entrepreneurs,
mainly women. We nurture and support community organizations, and encourage them to take joint
action to improve women's lives.
Women's Opportunity Center
The Women's Opportunity Center is a local non-profit organization dedicated to helping women
and men overcome obstacles to gain employment. Of the various opportunities that the center provides,
each is a unique and holistic experience that prepares every individual for today's challenges in
the workplace.
